Do you happen to know how hot is the hot water or how cold is the cold water coming out from a water dispenser that you have at the home or office? Well, the temperatures of the hot and cold water can differ, but often they are either too cold or too hot to normally drink right away, so you might have to mix both to get the right temperature. We took a thermal image of two cups that were just filled with hot and with cold water from a water dispenser and you can see the results yourself. The temperature of the hot water cup on the left is around 80 degrees Celsius while the temperature of the cold water cup on the right is just about 5 degrees Celsius. This makes the hot water at a good temperature to make a tea with it and the cold water temperature for a refreshing drink in the summer for example.
